BIOGRAPHY

Ismael Oliveira works with various supports, painting, drawing, video, photography, objects and installations. Its main focus is drawing and painting whose research deals with the combination of contrasts, oppositions and tensioning of different elements to represent the complexity of contemporary life.

He did postgraduate studies in visual arts at ECA-USP and studied art and painting with the following artists: Carlos Fajardo, Marco Giannotti, Wesley Duke Lee, Osmar Pinheiro, Antonio Peticov and José Barreto.

Since 1985 he has had constant exhibitions in Brazil and abroad, having exhibited in Finland, Estonia, Spain and Portugal and among his exhibitions, the individual exhibitions at Centro Cultural São Paulo, Brazilian Museum of Sculpture - MuBE (SP) and Museum of Contemporary Art stand out de Campo Grande - MARCO.
